The rumor mill is pumping out reports about the Samsung Galaxy S6, and this time, sources say that the smartphone will be unveiled sometime in January. This makes sense as the device will be ready just in time for the Consumer Electronics Show which will be held in Las Vegas.

Samsung usually announces their new releases and additions to the Galaxy S series around February or March, but reports have popped up claiming that this time its upcoming Galaxy S6 device will be hitting the headlines early.
The report initially came from Chosun Biz, a online Korean publication, which stated that according to analysts from South Korea's Mirae Asset Securities, the Galaxy S6 will be officially announced during the Las Vegas CES, which means sometime between Jan. 6 to 9. They also claimed that at the same time, the Galaxy S6 curved screen edge variant will also be debuted.
Mirae Asset Securities also claimed that Samsung has set their goal and is looking to sell around 45 million Galaxy S6 units and ten million of the Galaxy S6 Edge variant. However, Samsung has yet to confirm these numbers.
Unfortunately, the exact specs and key features of the Galaxy S6 also remain unknown.
However, based on the rumors and the supposed leaks, the Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display with a 1440x2560 pixel resolution and will have a front camera of 5 megapixels and a rear camera of 20 megapixels. It is also said to run on an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and has 3GB of RAM with an internal storage of 32GB.
The Galaxy S6 will also reportedly have thin edges near the screen and the front camera has been placed at the top of the phone in the center.
However, Samsung fans and gadget enthusiasts should remember that all the news surrounding the Galaxy S6 are still rumors, as Samsung is keeping very tight-lipped about the matter and has yet to release any news whatsoever.
